Single-tube vs truss frame
By the tent3d editorial team · Updated 3 October 2026 · 1 min read
The frame is the skeleton of a tent hall. Single-tube frames are economical for smaller spans and moderate loads; truss frames are stiffer and carry wide spans and high snow or wind loads.

How to choose
- Start with the span you need; the planner offers only frames that can carry it.
- Tell the manufacturer the exact location: snow and wind loads may require the stronger frame even at smaller spans.
- For long-term use in harsh climates, the stronger frame is often the safer choice.
