How much does an industrial tent cost?
There is no single price per m² for a tent hall: span, height, frame type, cover, insulation, doors, the site and installation all move it. This guide explains each factor and shows indicative ranges computed with the same model as our cost calculator.

| 10 × 20 m | 200 m² | €8,600 – €10,100 | €7,700 – €9,050 | €14,500 – €16,900 |

Indicative estimates for the standard configuration, excluding VAT and installation. Your design can change the price considerably.
Indicative prices by size
The table above shows indicative ranges for common sizes and three typical uses, without VAT, transport or installation. They come from our price model, not from a manufacturer's offer, and change when you change the configuration.
What drives the price
1. Floor area and proportions
The structure is priced per m² of floor. Larger halls are usually cheaper per m², because doors, gables and fixed costs are spread over more area.
2. Span (width)
Wider spans need stronger frames. Up to about 18 m a single-tube frame is often enough; wider halls and high loads need truss frames, which cost more per m² but give more column-free space. See single tube vs truss.
3. Side-wall height
Taller side walls mean longer frames and more membrane; they are needed for racking, machinery and large doors.
4. Cover
The standard PVC cover is included in the base price. Heavier fabrics last longer and cost more; special colours can add a surcharge.
5. Insulation
Double membranes with insulation (bubble foil, felt or glass wool) are priced per m² of insulated surface and can add a substantial share for small halls. See insulated vs uninsulated.
6. Doors, windows and equipment
Sliding and roll-up doors are priced per piece and grow with size. Ventilation, fans, lighting, gutters and snow reinforcement add to it.
7. Snow and wind loads
Sites with heavy snow or strong wind need stronger frames, closer frame spacing or reinforcement. This is checked by the manufacturer for your location; see wind and snow loads.
8. Transport and installation
Transport depends on the distance and the number of trucks. Installation by the manufacturer's crew is optional; some buyers install with their own team under supervision.
9. Site work, permits and taxes
Ground preparation, slabs or foundation blocks, permits, structural calculations, VAT and import duties are usually separate. Exports from outside the EU may need customs clearance; ask the manufacturer.
How to get a reliable price
- Design the hall in the 3D planner or use the cost calculator.
- Request offers: manufacturers check the site, loads and permits and send a written offer.
- Compare offers on the same specification: span, height, frame, fabric weight, insulation, doors, loads, transport and installation.
All prices shown on tent3d are non-binding estimates and can change; only the manufacturer's written offer is binding.
Frequently asked questions
What is the cheapest way to build a tent hall?
+
A standard span (for example 15 or 20 m), a simple roof model, a single-tube frame where loads allow it, no insulation, few doors and your own site preparation. The cost calculator shows the effect of each choice.
Is a tent hall cheaper than a steel building?
+
Usually yes for the same floor area, and it is faster to build, but it insulates less and the cover has a shorter life than steel cladding. See tent hall vs steel building.
Are transport and installation included?
+
Transport is estimated by distance where we can; installation is optional. Ground works, permits and taxes are not included.
Why do offers for the same size differ?
+
Different fabric weights, frame profiles, load assumptions, doors and services. Compare offers on the same specification.
